Following Alongside - The Dubs

This second release in the new schedule comes from the young, talented Italian radio & club DJ Phoenix 'Lo (aka Tacchetto Loris). His sound on this production of 'Following Alongside' unashamedly takes it's influence from the U.S West Coast deep house scene and could easily have come out of Moulton Studios at it's peak with Lum, Jay J or Migs at the controls. Phoenix certainly demonstrates a keen sense of melody & rhythm here with crisp, clean production style ensuring these tracks will fit seamlessly into any quality house set.

The remixes here come from the well established & ever reliable Scandinavian producer Jeff Bennett who turns in a pair of really cool, hip swivellingly sensual deep electro tinged house mixes. Stripped down to the bone these mixes provide a clean & precise aurul landscape of quirky electronica which should go down a treat with the minimal & electro heads alike.

Darran NUgent (Aruba/Elevation): The original is superbly deep in an early Guidance Records sort of way. The Jeff Bennett remix is crunchier than a bowl of crunchy nut. Can see this working the floors in a big way. Excellent package.
Harri (Sub Club): Something to be said for all the mixes, especially the Jeff Bennet mixes, top notch.

Craig Hampson (Discovery Records, Prague): Phoenix 'Lo original & remix; Jazzy and deep, lots for toe-tapping, chin-stroking, crossed-legged, long-cigarette-ashed madness! Nice!
Hakan Lidbo: I really like the jb dub, perfect blend of abstract underground and that deep and melow mettle sound. Very very nice.
Miguel Manzo (Sankeys): I like all the mixes but my faves are the 2 remixes. The JB one is off the wall and the p lo one is really smooth. Good gear.
Shane (Fish Go Deep): Digging the original mix and will be playing on radio and in the clubs.
Al Bradley (3am Recordings): Really solid house, great groove & a wicked one for getting things moving just right on the floor!
