Jazz Vibes EP1

After the initial well received and highly satisfying foray into the world of 'Latin Vibes', here we begin to take a look at the influence 'that old devil called jazz' continues to have on contemporary producers looking to get the dancefloor moving with real musicians playing real instruments. Through a series of 'Jazz Vibes' EP releases we'll be exploring tracks that take in jazz influences right across the board from downtempo lounge grooves to peaktime house floorfillers via nu-jazz and electro-tinged broken beats. Hold tight Daddio, it's gonna be one hell of a ride...

First up, we're proud to introduce the first release from Mettle Music's new in-house production project Jiro and oh what a debut! 'Nubuck' grooves along on a tight-ass broken-breakbea t with electro undercurrents weaving in and out, while evocatively utilising an awesome keyboard hook & a vibrant sax solo resulting in a cool amalgamation of electro, jazz & energetic beats.

'Fyuta Funk' set's out a similar stall of tight-ass broken be ats with electro undercurrents, evocative rhodes chords, a vibrant sax solo and a truly awesome Herbie Hancock style keyboard solo from Jersey Street's Matt Steele, really bringing the track to lifeand upping the energy levels towards the end. This will s urely rock any discerning dancefloor.

Here you'll find various different versions with either atmospheric intro's (which you'll find on the cd) or beats -in versions for DJ's (from the vinyl) and Nubuck (beat intro alt. edit) is ONLY available in digita l download.
