Jazz Vibes EP11

This installment of the 'Jazz Vibes' series sees the first ever digital release of tracks from the 'EPTwo' 12" by Mettle Music Collective on the classic deep house label Toko, originally released back in 2000.

'Basement Vibe' is featured here in two mixes. The original mix takes us to the most laidback party in town, with trumpets, grooved bass and funk over workings and is cool as you like. While on the 'Trailer Trash' mix the gritty groove gives a ride to an almost argumentative screeching sax part, which howls out for your attention above the bouncing bass & jazz-scat vocal.
'Dark Day', meanwhile combines resonant synths with soothing rhodes chords & is underpinned by a hooky double bass providing the jazz flavour.

This is deep, evocative, jazzy house with way its meant to be.
